What is a Constitution?


In order to maintain order in all territories, a number of rules must be followed.

In all countries, a Constitution represents a social pact that is to be respected by each and every person that inhabits said territory. That way, a Carta Magna, as Constitutions are also called, is a gathering of fundamental rules for a sovereign state, meant to specify the limits and relationships between the powers of the State and the citizens. Usually, these rules are found in written form.

According to what has been said, all of the powers of the State need to act in agreement with the parameters set in the Constitution, be it the Judicial Powers, Legislative Powers, Executive Powers, etc. Thus guaranteeing the freedoms and rights of the people.

All countries must respect their Constitution


It’s usually said that the Constitution exists to keep order in a country. However, it can also be used to guarantee a State’s protection, reason why care must be placed into making it solid, but not so much that it can limit the freedoms of those that need to abide by it.

The branch of Public Law in charge of analyzing the base laws that define the State and direct the way government is run is the Constitutional Right one. It’s important to remark that violating the Constitution implies a harsh blow to the democratic life of any country, reason why it is of utmost importance to always defend it and, also, be widely known by those who need to abide by it. However, it is also important to make sure it remains current.

Constitutions must be approved by the will and sovereignty of the people. They must also be imposed, when, on monarchic States, parliament must use them on the monarch. They can also be granted, once a monarch concedes, in writing, that it is best for the people.
